MyVirtual.Lawyer receives James I. Keane Memorial Award for excellence in eLawyering
MyVirtual.Lawyer was selected to receive the James I. Keane Memorial Award for Excellence in eLawyering. The award is given virtually at the start-up pitch competition during the ABA TECHSHOW.
MyVirtual.Lawyer is a law firm whose branded model offers limited representation, flat-rate / subscription-based products, and which uses cloud-based technology from start to finish of a case, including, but not limited to, communicating with and providing services to their clients . MVL was founded as a model for law firms in central Arkansas by founder Brooke Moore, who worked closely with the Arkansas Access to Justice Commission, to explore models for law firms that would provide the average consumer with access to an attorney and assistance with navigation of the law enable systems in a more accessible, convenient and inexpensive way. She also needed a career that reflected her ideals of protecting her health and spending time with family, so she developed the LSR virtual legal model. Laura O’Bryan joined Brooke as a partner in 2017. Due to the increasing national presence and demand from lawyers who want to learn more about this unique delivery platform, Brooke and Laura founded MyVirtual.Lawyer Brand LLC in 2018, which enables other lawyers to offer services in the form of courses, coaching and membership (licensee ) to expand the consumer access, health and wellbeing footprint of attorneys in the United States and internationally.

“The MVL brand aims to provide and promote access to justice for the average legal consumer, and to expand the lifestyle law firm model to include lawyers in order to balance lifestyle with meaningful and lucrative practice. Many attorneys who began to embrace the idea of the “virtual attorney” before and during the COVID-19 pandemic are largely working remotely and providing many of their services in traditional ways. Lawyers and consumers need to use technology in their legal practices to be more accessible to consumers, but also to be happier and healthier in their own lives. We do not recommend discounting the services provided and maintaining the same workload and liability. Instead, we use technology and limited leeway to encourage a manageable workload that you can manage yourself, and still maintain a career in the legal profession without burning out. Our target market for legal consumers is the middle to lower economic class and for the legal business the lawyer, as they leave the profession disproportionately for family reasons. This model is designed to bridge the gap between DIY and paid form-driven providers and traditional representation as not everyone needs or wants the traditional experience. “
