Former Trump marketing campaign legal professional Sidney Powell desires the Supreme Court docket to listen to the election criticism
Unfortunately, most of Powell’s litigation failed after the elections.
Conservative attorney Sidney Powell has filed another lawsuit alleging the Democrats were trying to steal President Donald Trump’s elections in Michigan.
Powell filed an application with the US Supreme Court earlier this week, according to The Detroit Free Press. In her complaint, Powell alleged that Michigan’s Republican-controlled legislation supported her offer to invalidate all legally cast ballots in the state.
Instead of splitting Michigan’s votes for the electoral college after the census, Powell wants lawmakers to choose their own list of GOP voters – voters who would presumably cast their votes in Trump’s favor.
This is despite the fact that President-elect Joe Biden promoted Michigan by more than 100,000 votes.
But, as the Free Press notes, Powell’s lawsuit – much like a lawsuit it filed a few weeks ago – is full of factual errors. Michigan’s legislation did not support Powell’s litigation. More like the former vice president.

However, the Free Press suggests that the Supreme Court is unlikely to take up Powell’s case. The judges have already dismissed better argued claims by a coalition of conservative attorneys general, while the lower courts have been skeptical of Powell’s intent.
That didn’t stop Powell from claiming their lawsuit is so urgent that the bank must bring it here immediately before federal court has a chance to rule.
Aside from Powell’s overt attempts to move the legal process forward, her lawsuit has been criticized for containing a large number of factual errors.
On December 14, 2020, the Republican majority legislatures in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin exercised their powers under the US Constitution’s electoral clause by allowing the entire list of Republican candidates to cast their ballots for President Donald J. Trump a conditional basis, ”says the lawsuit.
Another part of the lawsuit claims that such conservative electoral rolls did indeed receive political support.
“Republican electoral rolls have received majority Republican legislature approval in each of these states, which is reflected in the decision to cast (or attempt to cast) their votes,” Powell wrote.
The Free Press notes that none of these claims are true.
In fact, Powell’s suits have been discussed before. In her own attempt to dismiss Powell’s Michigan complaint, US District Judge Linda Parker said the lawsuit was “nothing more than speculation and presumption that votes for President Trump were destroyed, discarded, or converted to votes for Vice President Biden.”
Powell, Business Insider adds, is a former Trump campaign attorney. She was removed from the campaign’s legal team in November, but has continued to file litigation on her behalf for the past few weeks.
